These woven abrasive sanding files have a medium grit (red/brown) for aggresive removal and fine grit (white) for finer finishing. The narrow shape is great for cleaning up straight lines and narrow areas on your greenware and bisque. 5¾" long x ½" wide.

Sanding Pads These flexible sanding pads are great for cleaning up your greenware and bisque. Can be rinsed with water to remove build-up. Use the coarser 100 grit to remove greenware fast and then follow up with the less coarse 220 grit (pictured) to smooth out any scratches left behind. Both are 4" x 3".

Sanding Screens

Sanding screens are durable, non-clogging, open-mesh cloth coated with silicon carbide on both sides. It's an enormous improvement over cabinetmakers' old sanding standby, sharkskin. These screens will swiftly sand smooth any type of wood, stone or metal -- so they'll work GREAT on clay too. Each screen measure 9x11". One sheet equals two sheets of regular sandpaper, because of the two-sided coating.

**Caution: When sanding dry clay, we recommend use of appropriate precautions to avoid inhaling fine clay dust. Dust masks and rubber or nitrile gloves are highly recommended. Wet cleanups with sponges, mops, and paper towels work best to prevent the spreading of clay dust, which can present a potential long-term health hazard by inhalation.

Xiem Sanding Sticks

Xiem double-sided and washable Sanding Sticks are made from aluminum oxide grit on a firm backing. No sanding block is needed. They’re perfect for sanding, shaping, refining, and finishing a variety of surfaces and materials such as woods, plastics, acrylics, alabasters, and ceramics - both for green- and bisque-wares. Each package has a set of TWO that are 1.25“ wide x 7” long. Available in fine, medium, and coarse grit for regular clay and porcelain.

Sanding Discs

With two grits to work with, these sanding discs fit on your wheel for smoothing and leveling the bottom of your project. The coarser 60 grit should be used for grinding off glaze drips and rough edges and 180 grit for refining and smoothing. Wear a mask and use water to reduce dust inhalation. 12" diameter discs.
