Amaco Opalescent Glazes (Cone 05)

AMACO Opalescent Glazes may be used on any low-fire ^05-^06 clay but red clay bodies will show the most opalescence and the most interesting textures. These Opalescent Glazes fire to a high gloss finish. You get the best results when you apply three to four applications of the glaze. When used on pieces that have texture, the glaze flows thin on raised areas and is thick in recessed areas, giving an added dimension on the surface.

These glazes are foodsafe but there is a Safety Warning: Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination. These items are restricted from use with children under the age of 13.
