Each screen is 15" x 12" with different themes (Sealife, Nautical, etc) or patterns (Chevron or stripes). Combine AC310 Silkscreen Medium with underglazes, Stroke & Coat® or Designer Liner to create a paste which is pushed through the screen onto bisque or unfired glaze surface. Designer Silkscreens can also be used with acrylics or fabric paint and can be applied to other craft surfaces.

• AC310 Silkscreen Medium is a thickening agent that, when added to glazes or underglazes, creates a "ceramic paste" that can be used in silk screen processes. The agent comes as a dry powder.

• Squeeze or pour out a dollop of liquid glaze or underglaze about 1" wide onto a plate, palette or glazed tile. Sprinkle a pinch of AC310 Silkscreen Medium over the dollop, and allow it to sit for 10 to 15 seconds.


• Mix the powder and liquid color with a palette knife until the mixture is smooth and contains no lumps. The final consistency should be similar to smooth peanut butter.


• If the mixture is too thin, sparingly add a tiny amount of Silkscreen Medium, and stir again with the palette knife. If the mixture is too thick, add a small amount of liquid color to thin it.

If the paste is too thin, the design may bleed. As a general rule, the more detailed the design, the thicker your paste should be before application. It may take a little experimentation to get it right, but practice makes perfect!

The base firing properties of the glaze or underglaze used to create the ceramic paste remain unchanged. Cone 06 glazes still fire to cone 06, and cone 6 glazes to cone 6. Underglazes should still be applied to greenware and then bisque fired as normal. For the best results, use color products that contain high pigment content. Darker colors (like black, dark blues, greens, purples or browns) will produce deeper color in the fired results. Use of light pigment colors may yield less prominent results.
