Spectrum Metallic ^5 Glazes

These glazes are lead-free but contain some heavy metals and/or cadmium compounds. However, they pass tests for lead and cadmium release. Although they are said to be safe for dinnerware only if fired to their recommended firing temperature of cone 5, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THESE GLAZES ON DINNERWARE. These glazes may be harmful by ingestion or breathing dust or mist. May be harmful if swallowed. Inhalation may cause lung damage. Exposure may cause damage to kidneys or liver. Acidic foods may leach into the glaze creating a health risk.

* Spectrum has made a recent change in their glazes containing red iron oxide.
The substitution will NOT affect the glaze but it will make the glaze look darker
in the container. This change will affect batch number 45260 and higher and is noted by a red asterisk on SP1145..
